For 14 years, MUSE has been a pillar of arts advocacy and music education at The University of Hong Kong. We have shared unforgettable moments with you in the brilliant acoustics of HKU's Grand Hall, where celebrated artists present thoughtfully curated programmes, exciting debuts, and captivating premieres.
Through diverse concerts and learning events, we bring audiences and artists together on inspiring journeys of discovery, exploring monumental works and boundary-blending ideas while enriching the cultural landscape of our city.
HKU MUSE curates more than just concerts. Renowned musicians and scholars lead us on explorations of iconic works, from Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time to the complete cycles of Beethoven's 32 Sonatas, Rachmaninov's 24 Preludes, Bartók's 6 Quartets, and Bach's 2 Books of The Well-Tempered Clavier. Enriched by in-depth research and engaging discussions, each programme offers fresh perspectives and deeper insights into the music.
