10 Years of MUSE
Source of Inspiration

Now in the 13th year as the University of Hong Kong's pillar of arts advocacy and music education, we take pride in creating unforgettable MUSE moments in the brilliant acoustics of HKU's Grand Hall, where celebrated artists grace the stage with captivating Hong Kong debuts and premieres. Through a diverse array of concert, talks, and education events, we invite audiences to embark on transformative journeys, exploring monumental works and boundary-blending initiatives that enrich the cultural landscape of our city.

Monumental Works
In-depth Exploration

HKU MUSE curates more than sheer musical performances. Renowned international musicians lead us into in-depth explorations of monumental works, such as the complete cycle of Beethoven Piano and Violin Sonatas, Bartók String Quartets, Bach Well-Tempered Clavier, Schubert Piano Sonatas, and Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time. Accompanied by meticulously researched literature and engaging discussions with scholars and artists, audiences are immersed in a comprehensive understanding and enriching experience delving deep into the musical oeuvre.
