Blending artistry and scholarship, the 'Music in Words' series brings MUSE artists and HKU scholars together in thought-provoking dialogue, creating a vibrant meeting point between performance and conversation. The discussions explore context, interpretation, and the ideas and insights behind the music, from its historical roots to the performers' artistic and technical approaches. They also offer glimpses into the speakers' personal stories, philosophies, and creative journeys.
Selected episodes are available online with bilingual subtitles, as well as on podcast platforms with curated playlists. Whether experienced in person or online, the series enriches the encounter with music, revealing it as both a deeply personal form of expression and a shared cultural experience.
