"An authentic artist with beautiful sensitivity and remarkable mastery" – Diapason
At just 21, Canadian pianist Kevin Chen has rapidly emerged as one of the most extraordinary artists of his generation, claiming three First Prizes in just three years at the Arthur Rubinstein, Geneva, and Liszt Competitions, and Second Prize at the 2025 Chopin Competition.
His highly anticipated Hong Kong debut explores an arc of transfigurations, from Beethoven and Mendelssohn's variations and Liszt's reimagining of An die ferne Geliebte, to the mystic intensity of Scriabin. It culminates in Chen's own virtuosic arrangement of Liszt's Les Préludes, revealing an artist who not only interprets the great repertoire but reshapes it with striking originality.
