Widely recognised as one of today's foremost interpreters of Franz Schubert, tenor Ian Bostridge was joined by pianist Saskia Giorgini to present the composer's two cherished song cycles, Die schöne Müllerin and Winterreise. Set to the poetry of Wilhelm Müller, these seminal works trace the emotional landscapes of solitary wanderers: from the youthful hope and eventual heartbreak of Die schöne Müllerin, to the stark desolation and existential introspection of Winterreise, composed in the final years of Schubert's life. These works unfold as deeply psychological narratives, charting a progression from lyricism to despair with haunting intensity.

Winner of Gramophone's Solo Vocal Award with his Die schöne Müllerin album, Bostridge took the audience through the psychological drama in Schubert's music with his sensational and deeply emotive singing. Together with Giorgini's unerring technique and moving pianism, the performances, accompanied by a limited-edition booklet of literary and curatorial reflections, offered an intimate and compelling encounter with Schubert's inner world. In a 'Music in Words' dialogue with Prof. Daniel Chua, Bostridge reflected on his distinctive journey as a scholar-turned-vocalist, and shared insights from his book Schubert's Winter Journey: Anatomy of an Obsession.

憑《美麗的磨坊少女》專輯榮獲《留聲機》聲樂大獎的博斯捷，以極具感染力且細膩的詮釋，與喬珍尼帶領觀眾進入舒伯特的世界。音樂會前設有「樂語融融」對話，由博斯捷與蔡寬量教授對談，分享他由學者走向歌者的點滴，並探討其著作《舒伯特的冬之旅：一種迷戀的剖析》中的觀點。另外，繆思樂季更特別製作限量書冊，收錄李歐梵教授、邵頌雄教授的分享文章及馬唯中博士籌策的水墨畫作導讀，引領觀眾從多角度探索作品的深層意涵。
