Award-winning Thai pianist Poom Prommachart makes his Hong Kong recital debut with a programme that is as personal as it is dazzling. From the world premiere of new works composed especially for him by renowned Australian composer Carl Vine, to Chopin’s complete Ballades, Liszt’s radiant Schubert transcriptions, and a heartfelt arrangement of Near to the Heart of God, the evening traces his life’s journey in music. Supported in his studies by the late Princess Galyani Vadhana, Poom has since been hailed as Thailand’s foremost pianist, with lyrical passion, artistry, and commanding stage presence that have won him top international prizes and acclaim on concert stages worldwide.
